Our Journey: Mizuki Cakes Crafting Sweet Memories and Delicious Moments

In July 2021, we started Mizuki Cakes with a simple vision: to create desserts and dishes that bring people together. My sister and I were at different stages of life—she, 21 and fresh out of her internship, and I, 29, with a Master’s degree but searching for purpose. We didn’t know where this journey would take us, but we knew we wanted to build something meaningful.

With RM900, we began baking from home—crafting Bento Cakes, red velvet, brownies, and halal Korean-inspired desserts that reflected the food trends we loved but reimagined to suit everyone. The name “Mizuki,” meaning “beautiful moon,” embodied our vision of bringing joy and light into people’s lives.

As we grew, we expanded beyond desserts, introducing thoughtfully crafted dishes that complemented our cakes and sweets, allowing customers to enjoy full meals and sweet treats in one place. Today, Mizuki Cakes is more than just a cakery; it’s a destination where families and friends come together over delicious food and desserts that tell a story.

Over the years, we’ve faced challenges, poured every ringgit we had into the business, and worked tirelessly to keep our dream alive. But today, Mizuki Cakes stands as a testament to hard work, faith, and the belief that small beginnings can lead to big dreams.
